Pap Awareness at Salons

During the Cervical Cancer Awareness Month (May), our volunteers engaged local hair, nail and beauty salons to promote the importance of getting a regular Pap test. Over 60 salons and 45 staff participated. Salon staff acted as lay health educators and shared key messages with their female customers while providing services. Most owners complimented on our innovative approach and promotional materials. Moreover, our volunteers also visited community agencies and attended community events to share the screening messages.

An Unforgettable Experience for Children with Cancer

Camp Goodtimes (CGT) provides a safety-focused, medically supervised, fun and recreational experience for children with cancer and their families. One of the best parts of CGT is meeting new friends (and catching up with old ones)! This year, CGT is celebrating the jungle including rainforests, jungle animals, dinosaurs, etc... And traditional camp activities like canoeing, the climbing wall, and arts and crafts will all be coming back to CGT as well. Check out their schedule and activities here.
