My Father, my hero

My Father, my hero
My Father, my hero

On March 21, 2010 my father lost a 14 year battle against cancer. He was diagnosed with multiple myleoma three years before he was going to retire. He was in every study group, never gave up hope and never complained.

I want everyone to know that anything is possible. My father was given 5 years to live and with his positive attitude and healthy lifestyle, he beat the odds. My father became very ill in early January of this year and was in and out of the hospital. My husband and I took my father in during the last few weeks of his life. I will never regret the wonderful memories I have with my father and the moments we shared those last few weeks of his life. Family was very important to my father and he never let me forget how much it meant to him to have our support and love. The most important thing you can do for a person who is fighting cancer is to love and support them because family means everything. Cancer is scary and people feel lonely, help and support your loved one.
