Why I Relay

I relay because there are several people in my family who have been affected by cancer.

I relay because there are several people in my family who have been affected by cancer. When I was just an infant, my godmother passed away from lung cancer. She was 23.

When I was about age 10, my mom's aunt passed away from breast cancer. Three years ago, my grandfather passed away from liver cancer. Just last year, 2008, my mother battled with cervical cancer, and won!

I relay so that one day, cancer will be a thing of the past. I relay in the hope that I will never have to hear the words, "You have cancer". I relay to help others who have struggled with this awful disease!
