Celebrate and Remember

Celebrate and Remember
Celebrate and Remember

Relay is an event unlike any other. Cheering the sea of yellow shirts during the survivor lap and silently lighting thousands of luminaries at dusk, that's what it's all about!

Amongst the sea of yellow shirts in this 2005 photo are the 2 people I Relay for.
Remember: After 16 years living with cancer, in 2006 we lost our son Stuart at the age of 18. He was our inspiration and our hero, and in 2004 he invited his high school friends to join him on the track. Those friends keep the team, the Midnite Marauders, going strong and they consistently rank in the top 10 each year. Relay became the catalyst that pulled the group together with a bond that transcended his life. Relay continues to be a powerful and emotional remembrance of Stu's impact on all our lives.
Celebrate: Terry is a close personal friend who has miraculously battled back from cancer 3 times, with the past year being the most difficult and harrowing experience. Never before have I seen anyone leave palliative care because they improve and become completely self-sufficient again. He is living proof that we should NEVER lose hope and ALWAYS celebrate every day like it's our last.
Relay is an event unlike any other. Yes it raises money, but that's a byproduct. Cheering the sea of yellow shirts during the survivor lap and silently lighting thousands of luminaries at dusk, that's what it's all about!
Celebrate and Remember.
