Our Little Angel, Alexas

On November 21st, 2008 our daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumour, Medulloblastoma.

Without any warning signs other than complaints of a headache, our 4 1/2 year old daughter was taken to our family physician for a check-up. This appointment led to another appointment the following day by a specialist, which was following by a CT scan later that day...only to determine that a brain tumour, 5cm in diameter was located in the base of Alexas' brain. Our hearts were broken and we were in complete disbelief.
She went into emergency surgery the next morning after an MRI to remove the tumour, which was successful. After countless other operations, infections and hospital stays of weeks at a time...our angel kept strong. She underwent 30 rounds of Radiation having to be put to sleep every single time and did six complete rounds of Chemotherapy. She has now been in remission for five months! Alexas is doing wonderfully and we continue to pray for her health.
