The fight of my life

I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in February 2010

In February 2010 I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer and have been in the fight of my life ever since. I am still currently undergoing Chemo after almost 2 years. This is the hardest thing I've ever had to face in my life but I try to keep a positive outlook in the hopes that someday they can find a cure and I will be cancer free.
This is my first year running in the Relay. I decided to run in this year’s race after meeting our team Captain Lillian Murray who is a 20 year cancer survivor. She has been a God send to me and such an inspiration. I figure if she can fight for 20 years so can I.....When ever I get down she just picks me right back up. I feel so blessed to have met her and have her in my life.
It is my hope that by running in the Relay for Life that with the monies raised research will continue and someday a cure will be found for this awful disease & my 12 year old daughter will never have to go through what I have.
I am also running in memory of those of my relatives who lost their fight with cancer :
IMO: Grammy Theriault, Robert Theriault, Alphonse Langis, Bernard Langis, Joe Dupuis, Evelyne LeBlanc........This one's for you xoxo!!
