Why I Relay

This is my second year walking with the Goldcorp Cancer Crushers team, but not my second year of participation. Becoming part of the Relay For Life is very important to me.

I lost my grandfather to cancer when I was very young and never had the chance to get to know him. Since then I have lost many relatives throughout the years.
One of my dearest and closest friends was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago and I am happy to say today she is a survivor.
Without the surgery, treatments, and studies she may not have survived. I walk to help support ALL those who are diagnosed with this nasty disease. Without the Relay and other sources of fundraising for cancer research we would not have the means to continue to try and find a cure.
I ask that anyone who stops and reads my story make a pledge to help us fight back against cancer.
