I lost my Dad today.
Just three months ago he was diagnosed with Mutltiple Myeloma.
Dad was only 63. He retired last fall from his Captain's position with Coast Guard Inshore Rescue stationed in Sambro. He was a simple guy whose honesty and genuine interest in people made him a friend to many. The world feels empty tonight.
I have been attending the Relay as a volunteer with my Guiding group to help with luminary lighting. This year I will light Dad's and walk to honor him.
