Like so many others, I am walking to not only honour those who have survived cancer, but this year I am walking to honour another family member that has lost the battle.....

This isn't my first year participating in the Relay for Life. It has always been important to me because so many people have been affected by cancer, but this year is especially significant.
My grandmother lost her battle with cancer on October 1st, 2011, just 3 months after being diagnosed. She fought right to the end, to try to stay with us as long as she could. She smiled through it all, and tried to stay as positive as she could.
I think about her every single day, and I miss her dearly.
This year, I walk for Gramma.
