Why I Relay ...

I Relay because so many others who have lost the battle against cancer can't ...

As anyone who knows me will attest, I a work in progress!
I am also a cancer survivor; I survived cervical cancer in my early twenties with the help of the good people at Calgary's Foothills Hospital Cancer Centre.
I am also the daughter of a cancer survivor; mom was battling bladder cancer just one short year before I had my fight.
I am also the co-worker of a cancer survivor; and I smile every time I see Vince because he is still here and because he has a great sense of humour.
I count myself very lucky to know more survivors than non-survivors and I am blessed that I, mom and Vince are part of the survivor group.
No there isn't a cure yet, but more and more people are survivors today than ever before ... cancer is no longer a death sentence for many people because of the good work done by the Canadian Cancer Society with funds from prople like you!
My ask is simple ... go on line and sponsor me for the 2012 Relay for Life so we can keep having more and more survivors!
