Celebrating 22 Years!

I am a Survivor.....celebrating 22 years cancer free! There have been bumps along the way, but not sweating the small stuff puts everything into perspective.

When I was 21 years old, I heard the words that everyone dreads. I consider myself very lucky and wonder until this very day, why am I here, when others that have heard those words and are not? 3 years ago, I was asked to be an Honorary Survivor, which meant sharing my story. Many people who knew me in Thompson did not know that I was a cancer survivor. I was skeptical at first, but when I really thought about it, if I can be any kind of an inspiration to others, it would be worth it. Now I celebrate and share my journey with others. I am very excited to be a part of The Jungle Jaguars - a group of the greatest co-workers. I am looking forward to a night sharing, stories, tears, and laughter. I will be doing the Survivor lap and wearing my t-shirt proudly. My husband Rob and our beautiful little girl Karma will be there cheering me on!
