I survived. Many don't. Everyone should.

In 2001, at 34 years old, I was diagnosed with both ovarian and cervical cancers. I was a single mom with two young children. Facing the most difficult battle of my life I placed my faith in God and my trust in my oncologist.
I won. But I know many who didn't. And like you, I know many who are fighting right now.
I survived, in part, because years ago many people were generous with their time, treasure and talents, and contributed to research and the Cancer Society. I benefitted from their generosity. Now it's my turn.
I'm proud to join the Relay for Life. I hope that my humble efforts will help someone who is diagnosed tomorrow.
Someday, I believe, cancer will be a thing of the past.
