CANCER WILL BE BEATEN IN MY LIFETIME!

CANCER WILL BE BEATEN IN MY LIFETIME!
CANCER WILL BE BEATEN IN MY LIFETIME!

At the age of 15 I lost my 53 year old mother to Lung cancer and paraneoplastic limbic encephalitis cancer! Click here to hear more about my story and donate now to help cure cancer!

Hello everyone! Welcome to my page! My name is Julia and I am taking part in relay for life in memory of my mother. My mother was much more than just my mother. She was my mentor, my teacher, my inspiration and most importantly my best friend. My mother passed away from lung and paraneoplastic limbic encephalitis cancer when she was only 53 years old. My mother passed away on January 24th/2012. It has been extremely tough, not only for me but for my father, my twin sister, my older sister, my older brothers, my grandparents and the rest of my family/friends. She was a huge part in all of our lives and it is horrible not having her around anymore. The hardest part about her being sick and having cancer was what she had to go through. The numerous treatments, pain, loss of hair, uncertainty, fear and so much more. The worst part about cancer is seeing a love one suffer and knowing that you can't do anything about it. You feel a sense of helplessness.
Not only have I lost my mother, I have also lost my 51 year old uncle from prostate cancer, my 51 year old aunt from breast cancer, and my 48 year old Grandma from lung and brain cancer. My grandma died at such a young age that I was never able to meet her. After a long and hard fight my grandpa was able to beat cancer but numerous others were not so lucky. I also have a 32 year old cousin who is fighting colon cancer today. Cancer has affected me and my family in a huge way.

Did you know that
1: 50% of people who die now a day’s die from cancer.
2: Every 3 minutes a Canadian is diagnosed with cancer.
3: Cancer is increasing rapidly and is the number killer of Canadians today.
Cancer affects all of us young and old.
The good news is that it CAN be beaten and has been before! If you want to help and make a difference then don't hesitate and DONATE NOW!
Thank you very much to everyone who donated. It is much appreciated.
