So many of us are touched by Cancer in our lives. We have battled & survived, supported & rejoiced, ran the gamut & lost. Research can change that for so many of us!!

In 2006, my husband was diagnosed with a rare form of Colorectal Cancer. He fought hard but lost his fight at the age of 41, leaving behind 4 children and his granddaughter. He joined his father and brother who passed before him. His mother & sister are survivors. With research, we have been able to determine the genetic link for this cancer. Although we have yet to test our own children due to their age, there are two of that generation that carry the gene. With the knowledge this gives us, we can better monitor and make appropriate decisions to ensure that any cancer that develops will be battled early, while there is a change. Research has given us this opportunity.
I miss my husband, but have kept my promise to do what I can to prevent another of our family to go through the pain that he and his brother had to endure to stay with us "just a little longer".
