We Relay as a Family, because you are strongest when you are with your family!

Why do We Relay?

The reason that the Hall/ Palson/ McMahon family relay is to raise awareness and money for the Canadian Cancer Soceity for assistance and research in the field of cancer. Helping those inflicted and finding a cure are very important to us. It has been just over a year since my mom, Kathy Palson, has had her surgery. At the end of August it will be a year since she will have been done her radiation treatments. My Dad, John Palson still has skin cancer, but they are continually working on it to make it better. My brother in law Arnold has undergone some major operations and skin grafting and it has taken him a number of years to feel better. He is doing well now. Many of our family members and friends have been affected, and now we are trying to help make a difference. Last year I shaved my head, for my Mom, and this year my daughters, Madelynn and Anna and my sister Patti are cutting their hair for wigs for kids. I am very proud of them for choosing to do this and I am very proud of my girls for wanting to help others, actually strangers, to assist them in their recovery. This is why we Relay, as a family we are stronger and we can help others and make a larger impact!
