Prostate cancer not just for the old boys
Fall of 2010 had my doc tells me while getting my physical results that my PSA number seemed high and that there might be reason to be concerned and with that tidbit of info the adventure began..I know/knew lots of others with cancer (even loss a grandfather to prostate cancer), but never really hit me until doc said..I think you might have prostate cancer. I know that day/date and even what I did the rest of that day..I also know for the 4 months between original diagnosis, seeing the specialist, going through a battery of tests and finally off to surgery you just can't shut off the brain..
I am very fortunate to have been cleared since then and I know that I dodged a bullet compared to others.
My staff at GiantTiger have put together teams for the Relay for the past 4 years and have met some great people, we walk and talk with others have some laughs, shed some tears, but will be back year after year .For those who have not attended, come on down listen to the opening speeches and walk a couple of laps...you will be surprised at some of the survivors..I know I was
