Positive Attitude

A positive attitude on the part of the person with cancer greatly helps every member of the medical team to do their job and helps the family to cope while being upbeat.

I am a survivor of Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma which was in the liver. I strived to remain positive for myself and my family. I was diagnosed in January 2006 and was released from the cancer centre in April 2010. I am still in remission. It wasn't always easy and there were good days and bad days.

We are individual and my advice is to listen to your doctor because what might be the course of action for someone else might not be for you. Follow the doctor's orders and live as normal as possible by being positive and as active as you can be during treatment.

Yes, cancer is a battle but it can have positive results.
