My mother's fight

My mothers Fight
My mothers Fight

My mother passed away almost a year ago of lung cancer...

I relay because I accompanied my mother through intensive Chemotherapy and radiation. She ultimately lost her battle on February 26th 2008. I was my mothers caretaker for the last weeks of her life at home. I saw first hand how horrible and extremely painful this disease is.

During the last month and a half of her life, my mother was in tremendous pain. No one should have to die this way. She was so strong for me, her only child, she fought the good fight. She is and always will be the most courageous person I have ever been blessed to have been loved by.

I do this in her memory, to honour her life and to give myself hope for a better future. I don't want maman to have died in vain.
