When Denis and Hannah received their diagnosis within three weeks of each other, I could not imagine that anything positive could happen because of their life-altering events.

I relay because three years ago my husband was diagnosed with cancer. Three years ago my daughter was diagnosed with Common Variable Immunodeficiency which puts her at an increased risk to various cancers. For all my family and friends who are battling cancer, who are survivors and for those who lost their battle.

When Denis and Hannah received their diagnosis within three weeks of each other I could not imagine that anything positive could happen because of their life-altering events. I realized that there are many ways to find the "good" in this situation. One of the lessons I have learned is that life is precious and every day is a gift. I am determined to find a way to impact the lives of others with cancer to find both hope and support.
