Why I Relay

Why I Relay
Why I Relay

For my mom and me

When I was 3, I was diagnosed with leukemia. I had a bone marrow transplant, radiation, and chemotherapy. You name it they tried it on me.

I am now 29 years old and happily married. Three years ago my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. Our whole family was devastated that our family once again had to deal with this fierce disease. They tried everything on her but nothing seemed to work, she just got sicker.

On September 13, 2008 she passed away. We all miss her dearly. I Relay so that we can find a cure so no other family has to go through what my family and I had to endure.
