God does give us second chances

I am a survivor of four years. I also have a dear friend going through a battle herself. I am her voice and legs that night.

I am Patti. I am a survivor and a fighter for some of those who need to have someone fight for them, when they can't!

My very best friend Viki Skog is in Calgary Foothills hospital and has been for two and a half months this time round.
She has a rarer form of spinal cancer and multiple myloma. She came and held my hand after I went through my own battle and kicked me when I needed it and hugged me when I cried. I also had a great support team including a wonderful friend named Wendy, who stayed at the compassion house with me.

I always get inspired and overwhelmed of how blessed I am on that very exciting weekend of the relay.
