Two time survivor

I am a 10 years breast cancer survivor, and am now in remission from colo-rectal cancer.

Over the past ten years I have learned a great deal about myself and what it means to "keep fighting" I call myself a feisty senior and I guess that attitude has enabled me to cope with surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. There were times when I wondered if it was all worthwhile and then I would think of my darling twin grand-daughters, my three wonderful children and know it definitely was! Also during this time, I have been blessed with two more grandchildren (two boys) who have brought more joy into my life!
I also have come to treasure my wonderful friends who have supported me in so many ways...this journey has definitely been easier because of them.
If there is one thought I would share with anyone battling this horrible disease it is: don't give up fighting!
