My Sister

My Sister
My Sister

At the end of January my Sister was admitted to hospital due to weakness in the legs. In early February, she was diagnosed with aggressive multiple myeloma. She was given 2-3 months with just Chemo treatments.

My sister, age 35, who’s a single mom with 3 boys, age 2, 10 and 13, just beat multiple myeloma. She was given 2-3 months survival with her condition with chemo only treatments, turns out after getting to the cancer clinic in Vancouver she was not a candidate for stem cell & was given aggressive chemo treatments. Currently she is cancer free & is still fighting to regain strength due to alot of nerve damage due to the cancer in her spine causing 3 compressed vertebrates. That has healed and now trying & hoping to recover from the nerve damage. She currently is unable to use her legs waist down but just over the last couple days has been starting to move her muscles in her legs a very small bit. She still has sensation & they like to move on their own. She was very active and did not smoke, drink or do drugs.
My husband and 16 year old daughter are going to "Daddy, Daughter Ball" in support for Relay for life this month in Kamloops.
My Husband and I chopped all our hair off and donated to wigs for those fighting cancer, and my Son and brother in law shaved their heads to support the cause.
Cancer doesn't seem to care of your health age or anything, horrible disease & look forward to a cure one day!
We are looking forward to my Sister getting to GF Strong in Vancouver to get extreme physio help so one day she can either be independent in a wheel chair or walk again so she can be back home with her boys.
