Too young for S4 colon cancer

Too young for S4 colon cancer
Too young for S4 colon cancer

Cancer isn't glamorous. Cancer is selfish. Cancer doesn't care if you're too busy. Cancer is hateful and hated. I was diagnosed with S4 colon cancer. I have battle wounds from cancer. Take time to take care of yourself. Be a survivor, be a friend, and be YOU

I am 38 years old.
I share my life with not only my children, but also my animals... Moe (Boston terrier), Tia RIP (Chihuahua), Emmett 1/20/1994-11/26/2010 RIP Emm. (Cat) and Sammy my rowdy Yorkie addition. I was leading a pretty normal life until 8/22/08. I was diagnosed with colon cancer, (stage 4). I underwent a colon resection, lymph node removal, and right ovary removal on 8/27/08..The cancer had spread to 10 of the 15 lymph nodes and had consumed my right ovary. I, like so many people wondered how a 35 year old somewhat healthy person could be diagnosed with such a deadly disease. Because of my age, I was ignored!! Do not dismiss a Colonoscopy!!!
I have experienced life changing events, and I knew something was wrong because I know my body...If you know something is wrong, DO NOT take "NO" for an answer!! Time is precious. Not only because we only have limited time on this earth, but because the earlier CANCER is detected, the greater the ODDS....When you're told you have CANCER, your whole life changes.
