Why I Relay

Up until recently I hadn't been personally affected by cancer; however, this past November, after I had moved from Ontario to Alberta, I received the news that my grandfather was diagnosed with lung cancer.

This is my first year participating in the Relay for Life. I was introduced to this great cause by a few colleagues at Holy Cross Elementary. Together, along with the staff from St. Dominic School, we will work to raise money and awareness for all of the cancer victims and their families.

Up until recently I hadn't been personally affected by cancer; however, this past November, after I had moved from Ontario to Alberta, I received the news that my grandfather was diagnosed with lung cancer. Although he has been putting up quite the fight, there are still many more obstacles for him to overcome. Being so far away, I have not had much opportunity to spend time with him or help him with his fight against cancer. However, I can show my support by being an active member of this team, and you can too!

I would also like to take the time to recognize a good friend of mine, Chad Girard, who has also recently been affected by cancer. Thinking of you always bud!
