My name is Constable Chris Birtch and I am proud to represent Port Moody Police Department as a member of the 2019 Canadian Cancer Society’s Cops for Cancer Tour de Coast team. This year, from September 18 -27, 2019, our team of law enforcement and emergency services personnel will ride approximately 800 kilometers in order to raise money and awareness for childhood cancer. Our 9-day bike tour will take us from the Lower Mainland to the Sunshine Coast, Sea to Sky corridor, and back.
Through donations, the annual Cops for Cancer event funds leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives. In addition, Cops for Cancer fundraising supports "Camp Goodtimes", a safety-focused, medically supervised, recreational experience for children and youth with cancer and their families.
I have personally committed to fundraising at least $6,000 for this important charitable cause and am reaching out to my friends, family, colleagues and community to help reach that goal. Please pledge to support me and help me reach my fundraising goal! Every pledge takes us one step further in the fight against cancer.
Thanks for your support!
