I am participating in Cops for Cancer 2019 - Tour De Valley to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society.
This will be my second year riding for the kids! I'm so excited to be a part of this amazing adventure and to do my part in trying to help kids just be kids. I am riding for the thousands of kids enduring various childhood cancers. Many of these kids aren’t able to just be kids because they’re too busy going through chemo and fighting for their lives. The journey we are embarking on spans 9 days and is over 850kms of pedalling that will include riding between Tsawwassen and White Rock and continuing through Langley and the Fraser Valley to Boston Bar.
Last Father's Day, my mother was diagnosed with cancer, so this ride has an even greater meaning for me to take on this challenge for my family and make a difference for her as well.
The money raised from this event helps fund leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives; provide reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment; offer vital community-based support services for children living with cancer, such as Camp Goodtimes in Maple Ridge BC
Please pledge me and help me reach my fundraising goal! Every pledge takes us one step further in the fight against cancer.
