"Strength does not come from what you think you can do it develops from from overcoming things you thought once you couldn't do"
Hello everyone !
My name is Anijela Cizmar, I am a B.C Sheriff working in the Lower Mainland. This year I have made it my personal mission to give back to the community and to raise awarness for childhood cancers. Community, especially youth and children have always been a passion of mine, from being part of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada to now in a law enforcement setting. Each career path that I have followed has always linked itself to community involvement and to give back when possible.
Personally, my family and myself immigrated to Canada from Croatia in 1999. My families values and passion have always been to give back to community in any way possible. Canada, has given my family the opportunity to grow and set values in this beautiful country that I call home now. This year I am raising awarness for children and youth who are battling cancers and using community resources to help in the fight/aid of cancer warriors. Cancer, itself has been a battle throughout my family personally and participating with Cops for Cancer will help me raise awarness for cancer warriors.
Any donation helps and would be greatly appreciated.
" A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to perserve and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles" - Chrisopther Reeve
I am participating in Cops for Cancer 2019 - Tour De Coast to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society.
The money raised from this event helps fund leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives; provide reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment; offer vital community-based support services for people living with cancer and their families; and advocate for healthy public policies.
Please pledge me and help me reach my fundraising goal! Every pledge takes us one step further in the fight against cancer. Online pledging is secure and it saves the Canadian Cancer Society money by reducing administrative costs.
Thanks for your support!
