My name is Pepito Daelo, and I am a Border Services Officer with the CBSA. This year, I will be participating in the Cops for Cancer 2019 - Tour De Coast ride to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society. In September, myself, other Law Enforcement Officers and Emergency Services personnel will cycle 800KM across B.C. in support of children battling cancer.
In 2012, I participated as a Rider in this event. Back then, I rode for the many people in my life that have been impacted by cancer. Both of my parents are cancer survivors. This year, I still ride for them, but also for my two young sons in the hope that they never have to face such a sickness. While my two boys are healthy, no child should have to battle a monster like cancer. Hopefully, with the funds raised, cancer can be defeated.
As a Cops For Cancer Rider, I have been tasked with raising at least $6,000.00. The money raised from this event helps fund leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives; provide reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment; offer vital community-based support services for people living with cancer and their families; and advocate for healthy public policies.
Please pledge me and help me reach my fundraising goal! Thank you for the support.
