My name is Amin Menhadji, I am a Deputy Sheriff with the BC Sheriff Service, and this year I am participating in the Tour De Valley.
My participation in this ride is a personal one. As a colon cancer survivor, I know first hand what the battle can be like. I am so grateful for those that saw me through my journey and want to pass it forward by raising awareness and funds, to not only ease the battle, but to let those effected know that they are not alone. My hope is that, through research, cancer will become a thing of the past. To reach that goal I believe we all have to come together as a community and fight the best way we can...together!!
I ride for all those that are battling, those that have survived and those that we have lost.
The money raised from this event helps fund leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives; provide reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment; offer vital community-based support services for people living with cancer and their families; and advocate for healthy public policies.
Cops for Cancer also raises funds for pediatric cancer research and "Camp Good Times" which is a medically supported camp for children going through their cancer journey.
Please help me reach my fundraising goal! Every pledge takes us one step further in the fight against cancer. Online pledging is secure and it saves the Canadian Cancer Society money by reducing administrative costs.
Thank you for visiting my page and taking the first step to help a child and a family in need!
Your support is greatly appreciated!
