WE>me (WE is greater than me)
I am participating in the Cops for Cancer 2017 Tour de Coast to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society.
Those who know me will tell you that I’m my Dad’s mini-me. Based on the photo above, there is no argument. Big Mike is a name that is as much respected as loved on the waterfront, soccer field and just about anywhere that he ventured.
Dad fought and beat cancer a decade ago, while I was at Depot (Regina) fulfilling my dream of becoming a Mountie. His second fight 3 years ago took him from us.
I AM RIDING FOR BIG MIKE!
The money raised will help fund leading-edge cancer research that will improve cancer treatments, prevent cancer and save lives.
Cops for Cancer is an avid supporter of Camp Goodtimes, a summer recreation program that provides a unique summer experience for children and teens affected by cancer and their families.
It costs $1,500 to send one kid to camp. Let’s put some smiles on some faces.
The day I heard about a friend’s young child’s diagnosis, was the day I asked to be a part of this ride. One child with cancer is too many. "I Believe In You", Buddy.
I AM RIDING FOR EVERY FAMILY THAT HAS FOUGHT, IS FIGHTING OR ONE DAY WILL FIGHT CANCER!
Please pledge me if you can. Every dollar counts in the fight against cancer.
Thanks for your support!
