Welcome to my Cops for Cancer 2017 Fundraising Page!
Hello Family and Friends! Thanks for stopping by!
I am participating in the Cops for Cancer 2017 Tour de Coast ride to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society. This is an amazing group of police, sheriffs, custom agents, (CBSA) and paramedics who battle through rain, heat, hills, and chafing to ride our bikes 800kms in 9 days, throughout the lower mainland to raise money and awareness for kids facing a battle with cancer.
The Cops for Cancer is an avid supporter of Camp Goodtimes which is a camp in Maple Ridge BC, where children going through their cancer journey can go to camp and feel like a normal kid for once! The camp has medical care so the children can play, make friends and memories while still maintaining their care. Camp Goodtimes also supports the parents and siblings of the affected child. This is an amazing place for these amazing kids! It costs $1500 to send one kid to camp! I think all kids going through this journey should have an opportunity to experience this incredible place, dont you?!
Please join me in pledging your support for my ride this year. We have all been touched by this horrible disease. I lost an aunt last year, a co-worker many years ago and my amazingly brave boss, Kathy is currently fighting cancer! I've been in the Mounties for 24 years and this is my 3rd and last time riding in the Cops for Cancer before I retire next year.
I am co-captaining this year with Dayne Campbell, and am hoping to make it an epic fundraising challenge with the other riders. Help me make my fundraising goal by pledging your support to this worthwile and amazing cause!
Every pledge takes us one step further in the fight against cancer. Online pledging is secure and it saves the Canadian Cancer Society money by reducing administrative costs.
Thanks for your support!
