Welcome to Cole Brewer's Fundraising Page
This year’s team has been training since the beginning of March to take part in Vancouver Island’s 2017 Cops for Cancer team. 2017 marks the 20th year of the Canadian Cancer Society Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock, and we are excited to celebrate this with Vancouver Island!
The Tour de Rock team cycles from one end of Vancouver Island to the other, covering 1,000 kilometres and visiting more than 27 generous communities along the way.
Why? Because the impact of cancer on the life of a child and their family is devastating. Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society through Cops for Cancer are used to fund life-saving research and caring support programs to reduce its impact.
Why am I doing Tour De Rock?: Every year in BC 134 children are diagnosed with cancer. My Junior Rider with whom I have been paired up with was diagnosed with 2 types of Leukemia at 10 weeks old, and also recently lost her father to colon cancer. As a parent of 4 children myself, I believe this is such a worthy cause, and I feel honored to have been chosen to participate. I am going to work my hardest and put my best effort into all the training to prepare me for the 1,000 plus kilometre ride from the top of Vancouver Island to the bottom and to raise money for pediatric cancer research and support programs for children with a history of cancer.
I am looking for help from you, your staff, your students and our community to help me reach my goals. Without the support of communities, schools, individuals and businesses, Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock is just a bike ride.
Thank You for all your help and support.
