Welcome to David Brown's Fundraising Page
My name is David Brown and I have been a firefighter with View Royal Fire Rescue for 14 years. I feel extremely privileged to have been selected to the 2017 Canadian Cancer Society Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock Team.
I am riding the Tour and raising funds to support children like Marley, my junior rider. Marley is now 4 years old and was diagnosed with leukemia at age 3. She has endured radiation therapy, chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant in order to win her battle with leukemia.
To date, the Tour has raised over $20 million to support kids and their families who are dealing with paediatric cancers. The money you donate is used to fund research into life-saving treatments that increase the odds of children surviving a battle with paediatric cancer. Donations also support Camp Goodtimes, a place where Island children dealing with cancer can go to be a kid again, free of the stress of their illness.
Thank you for your support in making the 2017 edition of the Tour de Rock a success, and for ensuring that kids like Marley have the best possible chance to beat cancer and live a long and healthy life.
