Welcome to Glen Polson's Fundraising Page
My name is Glen Polson. I am an Advance Life Support Paramedic with the BC Ambulance Service. I am ecstatic to be apart of this years Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock team. Over my 17 years with BCAS, I have seen many faces affected by cancer, both young and old. Cancer is a disease that does not discriminate.
Every year in BC 130 children under the age of 17 will be diagnosed with cancer. I am riding in hopes of changing that. With help from donors like you, the Tour de Rock helps fund leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer, funding caring support programs, and saving lives.
Caring support programs such as Camp Good Times, allows children and their families to forget about their illness in a fun-filled week at summer camp. Fighting cancer isn't just about surviving, it's also about thriving after cancer diagnosis and treatments.
I promise to pedal hard and never give up on these children, my Jr riders, family and friends who are and have been affected by cancer.
Even one child with cancer is one to many.
Thanks for your support!
