Hello, my name is Cst. Neil Cole, I am a member of the Abbotsford Police Department. I am very excited to be participating in the 2018 Cops for Cancer Tour de Valley to raise money to find a cure for childhood cancer and support children and their famlies in their battle.
Growing up, Terry Fox was my hero. He still is. I remember him talking about the children he saw on the cancer wards and how they motivated him to start the Marathon of Hope. When Terry's cancer returned and he could no longer run, he said "It's got to keep going without me." In September 2017, Abbotsford Police Cst. John Davidson was part of the Tour de Valley team, keeping the dream going. Like Terry, he was passionate about helping children in their fight against cancer. On November 6, 2017, John was killed in the line of duty. I hope in some small measure to honour the memory of our dear brother and keep the dream going.
Your donations will fund leading-edge cancer research and offer vital community-based support services like Camp Goodtimes which provides a safety-focused, medically supervised, fun and recreational experience for children with cancer and their families.
Every child deserves to be safe and have fun. Please pledge me and help make that difference.
Online pledging is secure and it reduces administrative costs
Thank you for your support!
