Hello! I’m Constable Carly Godlien and I proudly serve as a member of the RCMP in the beautiful city of White Rock, BC. I am grateful to be participating in my first ride with the Cops for Cancer Tour de Valley to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society.
Your donations help fund leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving children’s lives; provide reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment; offer vital community-based support services for children living with cancer and their families such as Camp Goodtimes in Maple Ridge, BC. Please help give a kid with cancer the chance to just be a kid.
12 inches for $12,000 - If I reach my goal of $12,000 in donations, I am personally pledging to donate 12 inches of my hair towards Wigs for Kids BC; a program established out of BC Children's Hospital.
Any child or teenager living in BC who has lost their hair due to cancer treatment or another serious illness is eligible to receive a free wig through Wigs for Kids BC. After months of painful cancer treatments most of these children will lose their hair temporarily and for some the loss will be permanent.
Every pledge takes us one step further in the fight against cancer. There is no donation too small. Online pledging is secure and it saves the Canadian Cancer Society money by reducing administrative costs
