I am participating in Cops 4 Cancer Tour de Coast to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society. I lost my mom to cancer in 2015 and too many other friends and family members prior to that.
The money raised from this event helps fund leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives; provide reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment; offer vital community-based support services for people living with cancer and their families; and advocate for healthy public policies.
"Childhood Cancer"... two words a parent should never hear and an illness no child should ever have to endure.
Cops for Cancer is an annual event that takes place each fall to bring awareness to the impact that cancer has on the lives of children and their families and helps fund children attend Camp Goodtimes! Every $1500 sends one child to this amazing camp.
Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society through Cops for Cancer are used to fund life-saving research and provide care and support to improve the quality of life for children and families who are winning the fight against cancer.
Law enforcement and emergency services personnel from across the province will spend up to two weeks cycling all around B.C.
Please pledge me and help me reach my fundraising goal! Every pledge takes us one step further in the fight against cancer. Online pledging is secure and it saves the Canadian Cancer Society money by reducing administrative costs.
Thanks for your support!
