I am participating in Cops for Cancer Tour de North to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society.
My name is Mathew CLARABUT, and I’m a Constable with the Kitimat RCMP. I have been posted here as a police officer since 2015. My background includes work with the BC Sheriffs, Civilian RCMP Guard, and many other small jobs. I have lived in the Northwest for approximately 30 years and most of those years in Terrace, BC. I live an active lifestyle with my family including our four children with hockey, soccer, skiing, quadding, snowmobiling, working out and many other outdoor recreational activities. I am new to the road cycling, however I have cycled many kilometers on a mountain bike, on and off road and I believe that Tour de North would be a great challenge for me. I look forward to visiting all communities along the way that I have either worked in or visited in the past, raising awareness and funds for the fight against kids' cancer!
I am dedicating this ride to my father, who has fought the cancer battle and beat it. Also for my Aunt who is currently battling breast cancer.
The money raised from Cops for Cancer Tour de North helps:
• fund leading-edge pediatric cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives;
• provide reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment;
• and supports our award winning Camp Goodtimes.
Please donate and help us reach our fundraising goal! Every donation takes us one step further in the fight against pediatric cancer. Online donations are secure and save the Canadian Cancer Society money by reducing administrative costs.
Thank you so much for your support!
