Hello! I'm Joe Lau, a member of the Surrey RCMP and I will be participating for my first time in the Cops for Cancer Tour de Valley Bike Ride.
The Tour de Valley is a 9-day, 900 kilometer bike ride from Tsawwassen to Boston Bar.
I have pledged to fundraise $6,000 dollars before the start of the event in September, 2018! There are three main reasons I have decided to join this ride.
First, money raised continues to fund leading edge Pediatric Cancer research to improve cancer treatments, prevent cancer and save lives.
Second, Cops for Cancer raises funds to support local children and families who are battling childhood cancer.
Third, the money raised will send a local sick child to a special place called Camp Good Times in Maple Ridge BC. This is a place where children living with cancer have the opportunity to experience the joy of summer camp while being medically supported.
I'm asking for your help. Every pledge takes us one step further in the fight against cancer. Online pledging is secure and it saves the Canadian Cancer Society money by reducing administrative costs.
Donating is simple! Click the "Donate" button and follow the instructions.
Thanks in advance for any help and donations you might be able to provide!!!
