Welcome to my Fundraising Page
Hello friends and family;
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and I need your help! I am participating with my Synchronized Swimming Club, in Burning Bright for Breast Cancer to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society.
This year, I swim for Lori! My Mom's cousin, Lori, from B.C., fought courageously against Breast Cancer until New Year's 2009.
Our 14th annual Burning Bright for Breast Cancer fundraising event will be held on Tuesday, October 24th this year from 6:30 – 8:00 PM at the Laurentian Pool.
Burning Bright for Breast Cancer is a beautiful event, where the girls and I swim our "Candle of Hope" around the pool in a relay for one hour. Each swimmer has the opportunity to carry the candle across the pool while they eggbeater. Our littlest swimmers have a buddy for support!
The pool is filled with pink breast cancer duckies nand music fills the air. The event is a wonderful experience to be involved in both as swimmers and parents. If you’ve never seen it, it’s a beautiful image about the power of hope and our ability to ALL make a difference.
The lobby is filled with yummy home baked goodies and prizes to be won!
The money raised from this event helps fund leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives; provide reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment; offer vital community-based support services for people living with cancer and their families; and advocate for healthy public policies.
Please pledge me and help me reach my fundraising goal! Every pledge takes us one step further in the fight against cancer. Online pledging is secure and it saves money AND the environment!
Thanks for your support!
I hope to see you at the pool!
Sophia Domenica Flabiano.
P.S. Wear PINK!
