In Loving Memory of Hassan Sayrafi
We lost a wonderful man to colon cancer. He was a kind and generous man, who offered support, help, advice to anyone he knew. His love for his family and friends knew no bounds. He was my confidante, the person I looked up to. What he has accomplished in his life is something I hope to achieve in my lifetime.
Over the past two years since diagnosis, I have experienced many highs and lows by his side. We went from surgeries to endless chemo sessions to hearing the relieving news that the treatments were successful, but our hopes were soon crushed when we learned that his cancer had returned. I am sure my experience with his cancer was not any different from many others, watching their loved ones disappearing in front of them with a great sense of helplessness. I believe that this could have been avoided and cured if we had the right medical advice and knowledge.
He was a man who put loved ones first and always thought of himself last. Through all the pain and sorrow, he carried us. In return, my family and I will support the fight against cancer in his memory and carry on his giving spirit in hopes of alleviating others and help carry them in their fight. A fundraising page have been created towards the cause.
