B is for Bald (part deux)
Edit: as of today, April 25th, I have a teammate. My friend, Dylan Simpson, will be shaving his head also!!
Hello Friends and Family,
It's that time again. I need your help to raise some serious funds for Cancer research. In exchange, I'm planning on donating my hair and shaving my head. You want to see that, right?! My goal is $5000. Last time, we blew that out of the water in less than two weeks. Can we repeat that? OF COURSE WE CAN!!
Here are some details. Instead of having a defined date, the plan is that whatever day I hit the $5000 mark in donations, is the day I shave my head. Mid-week, weekend, before a big meeting or vacation...I don't care. I'll do it and live stream it on social media!
Just like last time, the person who makes the most generous donation gets to decide what design gets shaved into my head. Anything you tell me. Your name, your company logo, WHATEVER you say, I'll do it. I might have to wear a toque to work, but I'll do it.
As most of you know, this cause is near and dear to my heart. I lost my mom to brain cancer (glioblastoma multiforme) in 2002. It was devastating to watch her suffer and fight Cancer for 18 months. I held her hand as she had treatment after treatment, as clumps of her hair fell out, as she lost the ability to eat, talk, and walk. A little piece of me died with her. Unfortunately, it didn't end there. I've also watched friends, colleagues, and children suffer and I want to affect change. Please help!
Your generosity will help the Canadian Cancer Society continue to make the most impact, against the most cancers, in the most communities across the country.
Make your donation online – it’s fast, secure and will reduce administrative costs so more of your support goes towards the fight against cancer.
Proceeds from my fundraiser will support Wherever the need is greatest
