Kingston Frontenacs Hockey Fights Cancer 2018
Hockey is a way of life for many across the country – unfortunately so too is cancer. Over the years, cancer has impacted the hockey family, as members of its own community have been touched by the disease. The NHL and NHLPA honour those we have lost and continue to celebrate and support survivors through Hockey Fights CancerTM.
The Kingston Frontenacs are also a team of proud Cancer Fighters. While we each may have our own reason for joining the fight against cancer, we are all united in our belief that we can make a difference through our 2018 Hockey Fights CancerTM campaign. And your support will too! This month we are raising funds to benefit Prostate Cancer Research.
“We have a proud tradition of supporting cancer causes and raising awareness for different types of cancers and focusing on dads and the cancers they face really hits close to home,” said Justin Chenier, Executive Director of Business Operations with the Kingston Frontenacs. “The obvious cancer for men is prostate cancer, and in Canada 1 in 7 men will develop prostate cancer in his lifetime.”
Hockey Fights CancerTM gets an assist from players, coaches, officials, front office staff, corporate partners, and fans. Together, the hockey family looks to inspire hope and courage for those who are living with, going through, and moving past cancer.
When you make a donation to our team, or to any of the players, you are providing hope to thousands of people affected by cancer. Your generosity will fund innovative research, provide vital support services to cancer patients and help change lives.
Please donate online today and help our team reach our goal.
Hockey Fights CancerTM was founded by the NHL and the NHLPA in 1998 to unite the hockey community in support of cancer patients and their families. The Hockey Fights CancerTM initiative has resulted in donations of more than $20 million to support the fight against cancer at national and local cancer research institutions, children’s hospitals, player charities and local charities.
Proceeds from our fundraiser will support the fight against cancer
