Welcome to Wesley's Personal Page
Wesley is participating in the Mini Mudster on Sept 14 2019 to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society!!
Wesley will run with his team through obstacles for 1.5km to raise money for cancer, have fun, and get muddy
Besides Wesley’s uncle Brandon, who was taken at just 12 from acute myeloid leukaemia, his great grandma was also taken from pancreatic cancer, his grandpa is a current survivor of prostate cancer, and Wesley’s own dad is a current survivor of testicular cancer... among many others.
In a recent discussion with Wesley he asked how exactly his uncle Brandon passed away, and when I told him it was cancer, he replied saying “that’s what I’m running for in the mud run, to raise money for cancer!” I wish Wesley never had to learn the word cancer, but unfortunately it’s touched our family too many times, in too many ways.
The money raised from this event helps fund leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives; provide reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment; offer vital community-based support services for people living with cancer and their families; and advocate for healthy public policies.
Please pledge me and help me reach my fundraising goal! Every pledge takes us one step further in the fight against cancer. Online pledging is secure and it saves the Canadian Cancer Society money by reducing administrative costs.
Thanks for your support!
