Mel's Mud Slingers

My name is Melanie.

Oct. 2017 my life fell apart.

I have stage 4 colon cancer, which has spread to my liver and lung.

I am inoperable and on chemo for life.

I was told if no chemo I have less then 9 months to live, with chemo maybe 3 years.

Help me and others raise money for The Canadian Cancer Society.

I am running in the Mudmoiselle in Guelph with family and friends to help others just like me.

The above note was my sister's message from last year's event when I had the honor to run beside my sister to raise funds for the Cancer Society.  She has passed away on June 27, 2019.  She will be held in our hearts forever.

We are participating in Mudmoiselle Guelph to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society.

The money raised from this event helps fund leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives; provide reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment; offer vital community-based support services for people living with cancer and their families; and advocate for healthy public policies.

Please pledge us and help us reach our fundraising goal! Every pledge takes us one step further in the fight against cancer. Online pledging is secure and it saves the Canadian Cancer Society money by reducing administrative costs.

Thanks for your support!
