Fundraising honor roll
My daughter and I are growing our hair to make a wig for a breast cancer victim. We have set up this fundraiser to support breast cancer victims through the Canadian Cancer Society.
Marike told me that one of the worst things about losing your hair was that when you wore an artificial wig (like the fashion wigs you buy in a store) it made your head very hot and sweaty. She told me that you scratched your head a lot and it felt like you had nits!
That thought stuck with me. It's bad enough to loose your hair but imagine having to suffer further like that.
That is why I decided to grow my hair in her memory. My wonderful daughter has joined me in this endeavour. So please support us. You can either donate on this page or the team page. It doesn't matter - it all goes to the same cause.
Many thanks for your thoughtfulness. Julie
The money raised helps to make wigs from hair that is donated. It also is used to fund the most promising research projects in the country, provide information services and support programs in the community and advocate for public policies that prevent cancer and help people living with cancer.
Please pledge me and help my daughter and I reach our fundraising goal!
Every pledge takes us one step further in the fight for life. Online pledging is secure and saves the Canadian Cancer Society money by reducing administrative costs.
Thanks for your support!
