Welcome to My Fundraising Page!
On Sunday, October 6, I will participate in the annual CIBC Run for the Cure. Last year with your help, I was successful in raising $3582.00! Together, our branch collectively raised $10,524.00 bringing our total contribution to the Canadian Breast Cancer Society to $68,494.00! Participants who raised $2,500+ were given the power to choose where they wanted their dollars invested. I simply chose the area of “Greatest Need”. By giving a gift to the area of greatest need, it gives the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation the ability to quickly fund research projects, support services or cancer prevention and advocacy initiatives that are critically important right now.
This year I am dedicating my efforts to the following special people who lost their courageous battles: Kari Bell, Aunt Barbara Thexton and Marilyn McClintock. These strong survivors will join me in my heart: Penny Hurd, Delores Klein, Margaret Cox, Sharon Stewner, Carol, Lynn, Gina, Evelyn, Lee, Iris and Soraya.
In early June, the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) announced that, along with CQDM (a Quebec research consortium whose mission is to fund the development of biopharmaceutical technologies), they will invest almost $10 million over the next three years to fund three breast cancer research projects. Canadians will be shown exactly how funds raised through the CIBC Run for the Cure are being put to work to pave the way for new breast cancer treatments with the potential to save lives.
Please note that there is no obligation to make a donation. If you would like to learn more, feel free to visit www.cibcrunforthecure.supportcbcf.com and search my name. The CBCF also accepts cheques made payable to the “Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation”. Receipts will be automatically issued for donations of $20 or more. Thank you for the support of this campaign.
Thank you from my heart!
