In recognition of Oakdale’s desire to
make a visible contribution to our community, Oakdale Golf & Country Club
has once again accepted the Canadian Cancer Society’s invitation to participate
in its national fund-raising event, “The Longest Day of Golf”.
This
is a one-day event on Monday, June 11, 2012 where one foursome comprised of the
current Match
Play Club Champion Jay Goldenberg, brother Mitch, father Steven, and
Director of Golf Roan Vollmer. They will play from dawn ‘til dusk and
have set a goal of beating the record of 152 holes. Each player is asked
to collect pledges for each hole completed.
