Welcome to Tara Monaghan's personal page
Hair Today, Bald Tomorrow Help me make cancer history! On March 3rd I will be shaving my head and donating my hair to make wigs for children affected by cancer. I have never donated hair or money to this cause so for my first time ever I am going to do both! Most families have been affected by cancer and in my case as many of you know; it is my Uncle Larry, my paternal grandfather, my maternal grandmother and several of our close family friends. It seems Cancer is everywhere and although I have not personally been a victim, I have certainly felt the effects of it. Both shaving my head and collecting pledges are being done in an effort to raise awareness for all the work that has been done and is continuing to be done by the Canadian Cancer Society. The money raised from this event helps fund leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives; provide reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment; offer vital community-based support services for people living with cancer and their families; and advocate for healthy public policies.
Thank you all for taking the time to read this and donate! Look forward to photos after March 3rd.
Thank you all so much for your support! Tara Monaghan :) About Community PartnershipsClick here to read more about the Canadian Cancer Society Community Partnerships program.
